Ogenkidesuka? /= How are u?

Some people knows the Japanese sentense, "Ogenkidesuka?". It is translated from "How are u?", but it is a little bit strange for me.

I like traveling. Then, sometimes people ask me, "Ogenkidesuka?"(but just only when people recognize me as Japanese. Many times people aske me, "Nǐ hǎo") Honestly, that's strange because we don't say the phrase to a person we meet at first time. we just say when we see a familliar person and the person is depressed. Or, we ofen use in e-mails or normal mails.

So, don't say "Ogenkidesuka?" to a fist meeting person when you come to Japan. If you do that, you get to be a STRANGER.
